Data protection complaints.
Your right to complain to us.
Since 19 June 2026, UK law gives you the right to complain directly to an organisation about how it has handled your personal data. This explains how to do that with us, and what happens next.
This applies where Pikt is the controller — visitors to this site, people we correspond with about our services, and platform account holders. Where we handle data on behalf of a client, that client is the controller and the complaint goes to them. If you're not sure, contact us anyway and we'll tell you who to approach and pass it on.
How to complain.
Email [email protected], or write to Data Protection Complaint, Pikt Data Ltd, 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU.
You don't have to use a particular form or route. If you raise a data protection concern with us by any means — including a message on social media — we'll treat it as a complaint and handle it under this procedure.
It helps if you tell us your name, how to reach you, what happened and when, and what you'd like us to do about it. If you can't give us all of that, get in touch anyway.
What we'll do.
We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, counting from the day after we receive it, including if it arrives at a weekend or on a public holiday.
We'll then investigate. How long that takes depends on the complexity of what you've raised, but we'll look into it properly and proportionately, and tell you the outcome without undue delay. If it's going to take longer than we expected, we'll tell you that and why, rather than leave you waiting.
We'll explain what we found, what we've done or will do about it, and what you can do if you're not satisfied.
What we record.
We keep a record of every complaint: when it arrived, how and when we acknowledged it, what we did to investigate, and the outcome. The Information Commissioner's Office can ask us to produce these records.
If you're not satisfied.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113, or Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF — at any point. You don't have to wait for us to finish, though it usually helps to give us the chance first. You can also seek a remedy through the courts.
